Daniela and Nelson, this gorgeous Brazilian couple met for the first time in a barbecue some common friends were putting together (and quick curiosity, for the wedding, Nelson’s only request was to have barbeque on the menu! Coincidence much? :)
They have been together for 10 years. Here is what they have described on their Engagement Session interview: Daysy: How did he/she propose? Can you describe that moment?
Nelson: We’ve been together for almost 10 years...there’s never been a real “proposal”. We actually did everything in a different order! lol
We decided leaving together, having kids and now getting married!!! We’ve always spoken about doing a real Wedding elebration one day!
And that day has come true! Their wedding was so beautiful! They have chose their beautiful backyard to create their memories along with family and friends, and now you can check bellow their images + exclusive interview of how their day and expectations went.
Daniela & Nelson, may your life together keep going as blessed as it has been this 10 years! Congratulations on your union :)

Daysy: Top 3 tips for future brides:
Daniela&Nelson: 1. Rehearse!! Really important! | 2. Don’t stress over small details, no one will notice!
3. Rest a lot the night before and enjoy your day.
Daysy: What went wrong?
Daniela&Nelson: The program went no 100% as scheduled! Some delays… but that was all!!
Daysy: Describe any personal or special touches that helped make Your Wedding Memorable
Daniela&Nelson: Friends and family worked together the whole week to have the yard looking beautiful for the wedding.
Daysy: What were the kids reactions after the wedding was done? Did they mention anything special?
Daniela&Nelson: No… but for sure they will have a different story to tell people, like ‘I’ve been to my parents wedding”! rsrs
Daysy: Tell us about your wedding day fashions.
Daniela: At first I did not want to do it “American Style”, but a month before the wedding I decided to!
I spoke to the bridesmaids, I let them choose color, they were free to choose a dress they liked.
For the groomsmen, I picked color and style. It was a summer day, so we all agreed on “no jackets”.
Since it was a backyard wedding, Cocktail Attire for guest was a good option!
Daysy: Nelson, why did you pick the cowboy theme for your tuxedo dressing?
Nelson: I grew up in the country, that’s who I am. I’m really proud of my backgrounds and the style of life a country man lives.
Daysy: What was your color palette and wedding style? What inspired it? Tell us about the flowers, stationery and decor you chose.
Daniela: I wanted something country/chic/romantic at the same time. Colors were blush.
Daysy: Where did you have your wedding? Why did you choose the location?
Daniela&Nelson: Our home. We did not want to have a “time to end” kind of party, not part of the Brazilian culture. And now our back yard is a very special place, filled with lots of good memories of our very special day!.
Daysy: Daniela, you cried happy tears on your vows to Nelson. Could you describe into words the feelings you had by the time you were looking at him?
Daniela: I’m very emotional. To be honest I was very surprised and did not know what to say!! We had agreed on not saying vows. Nelson surprised me when he grabbed the microphone and started saying things.
Daysy: Tell us about your cocktail hour and reception! What was on the menu? Did you have any special entertainment?
Daniela&Nelson: We had a different program, the cocktail was before the ceremony while guests arrived and also some extra cocktail time after it. We chose Brazilian barbecue, it was the groom’s request only request!
Daysy: Which element(s) of your day best reflected you as a couple? What did you do to make guests feel special?
Daniela&Nelson: It was a very special day for sure! We were happy and surrounded by good friends and family only. We did our best to offer a nice reception to our guests and make them feel comfortable and have fun!
